Breakthrough for millions of at screen TV viewers

Viewers who have invested on average £900 to own ‘state of the art’ at screen viewing systems
have been abandoned by the makers when it comes to keeping their screens clean.

This is the startling conclusion of Scottish company TV Clean who have developed the world’s first
reliable scratch free cleaning system for at screens.

HD (High Denition) screen owners have a particularly raw deal having paid a premium for top
quality screen performance only to have their viewing dulled by dust and airborne particles
attracted to the screen by static electricity says product designer and developer Gregor Aikman.

Until now, the only screen cleaner solution has been to use cloths, wipes and sprays to remove dust from the
sensitive face of the screen. All too often this results in scratching and hazing. Aikman explains
that ‘many screens have sophisticated coatings on them to reduce glare – using chemical sprays
can damage these coatings causing irreparable damage to the screen’. Inevitably viewing quality
is compromised.

Recently released, the ‘TV Clean’ has been an instant success with end users who no longer have
to worry about scratching their screens or destroying surface coatings with chemical sprays.

Ironically, the technology behind ‘TV Clean’ has been used for years by the screen manufacturers
when making and assembling at screen TV’s and PC’s. They use a system which first rolls the
surface to pick up all traces of dust which is then captured by an adhesive roll. Aikman says ‘the
challenge has been to incorporate this proven technology into an attractive hand held device’.
The rubber roller which picks off the dust and particles is very soft and is guaranteed not to
scratch whilst picking up particles as small as 1 micron.
